# Wagent

> Let your agents work your WhatsApp, only where you allow, and only how you allow. Wagent connects your WhatsApp number to Claude, ChatGPT, n8n and any MCP client. You choose which chats each agent can see and what it may do there. Rules run in Wagent, outside the AI, and anything that needs you waits for your yes.

Build on Wagent without holding anyone's WhatsApp session. Every call goes through the same rule check as the app.

## Agent sign-up

- [Ask for access](https://mcp.wagent.sh/v1/agents/signup): POST JSON {"owner_email", "agent_name", "scopes" (optional), "note" (optional)} with an Idempotency-Key header. Answers 202 with a claim_token; a repeat with the same key answers 409 already_requested. The owner gets a link to approve each scope. Until then the agent sees nothing and can send nothing.
- [Collect the key](https://mcp.wagent.sh/v1/agents/signup/claim): POST with "Authorization: Bearer <claim_token>". 202 while the owner has not approved, then the API key and the MCP URL once, then 410.
